How to get any job + HeadStart apps closing + 15 new IB roles
I'm Oba.
I had 7 internships in college, got into Stanford GSB, and founded HeadStart Fellowship. Now I share what worked on LinkedIn and Instagram.

What I Wish Someone Told Me
This week's insight: Four years of college ≠ four years of skills
Most people graduate with a degree but no proof they can actually do anything.
You spent four years in classes. Great. But when someone asks "what can you do?" you can't just say "I studied finance." That tells them nothing.
The fix is simple: build proof of work while you're still in school.
Proof of work = tangible projects you can show when someone asks about your skills.
For finance: Stock pitch with a model attached. Listen to an earnings call, write a one pager on what the company's doing right and wrong.
For consulting/business: Case comp deck. Company analysis.
For tech: GitHub with actual projects (most tech people already do this).
None of this is hard. It just shows you know something beyond "I went to class."
How to use it:
Mention it in interviews: "I put together a stock pitch on X company, found it interesting for these reasons."
Attach it to cold emails: "Saw your firm just did a deal in healthcare. I wrote a one pager on my thoughts on the industry. Would love your feedback."
Bring it up in coffee chats. Post about it on LinkedIn. Add it to your resume.
The takeaway: Your degree says you sat in a building for four years. Proof of work says you can actually do something valuable.
