The 3 podcasts i used during recruiting + new roles
I'm Oba.
I had 7 internships in college, got into Stanford GSB, and founded HeadStart Fellowship. Now I share what worked on LinkedIn and Instagram.

What I Wish Someone Told Me
This week's insight: Class won’t get you the job
Schools have been teaching the same stuff for decades. It's all static knowledge.
But the world changes every single day. And in interviews, what separates you isn't knowing the textbook answer.
It's knowing what's actually happening right now.
I can't tell you how many times I've been in an interview, mentioned something I heard on a podcast, and watched people react like I just said the most brilliant thing.
I didn't. I just stayed informed.
When I interviewed at Uber, I listened to the Acquired episode on the company.
I knew details about Uber's history that even my interviewer didn't know. That's the difference podcasts make.
Staying up to date and building current knowledge is one of the most productive things you can do when recruiting.
Here are three podcasts I listen to that cover tech, business, and finance broadly:
1. Animal Spirits - markets and economics in plain language
2. Not Investment Advice - tech, business, and what's happening now
3. Acquired - deep dives on companies and how they actually work
The takeaway: Podcasts > Lectures
